| ●Brief description of project | Sapporo Civic Hall is a music theatre project built as an alternative facility for a new facility. As an alterative facility, client requested “build in low price” and “short term”, so we designed it in steel-frame. We got the same quality as a previous theatre with a dry-construction for a soundproof. The site fronts on “Odori Park” pass through the city of Sapporo. Exterior wall is made of silver steel panel that shows many expressions changing in four seasons. We divided volume of this building with setback. It harmonized with the landscape of Odori Park. It has a big canopy around the entrance area that protects visitors from snow. The interior design is constituted with black and white color and white timber. Visitors will be leading player with this simple interior. The structure is seen in foyer’s ceiling with only painting. It expresses the image of a music club. |
