The Daido Life Insurance Kasumigaseki Building designed as a state-of-the-art tenant office building is located in the one of the best districts in the center of Tokyo, where many government office buildings of typical, monotonous style are located and form a monotonous cityscape. In this context, it was determined to give the building unique exterior appearance totally different from surrounding buildings. As a result, the building is completely clad with terracotta-taste tiles so that the building is brand new but gives feeling of nostalgia and friendliness. On the other hand, the building is designed to have high-grade specifications necessary to make it highly competitive in property investment market, with the aim of making it highly sustainable and reliable, long-life building.
