This is a multi-use complex which consists of office floors, a hotel, and commercial facilities. The site is owned by the Pacific Century Group and the East Japan Railway Company. The 25-storey office was raised about 30m from the ground by four super columns (CFT pillar) with a diameter of 3.4m, and accommodates commercial facilities and a hotel at its foot. The lower complex of the building is improved as an open space full of nature, and is maintained where a sense of togetherness is felt, and aimed to offer a place where the peacefulness in the city can be obtained. The image of the outer-wall was developed on the concept of “the ingot of glass”, and designed using high adiabatic dual glass. Aiming at the architecture which is not influenced by the time, “simplicity”was the key concept from the overall organization to the detail of the design.
