Main objective was to design advanced 5-star grade hotel above large scale of department store podium in Hsin-chu city, well known as High-Tech city in Taiwan, within the quite limitted site. Major design concept is to establish and create well considered harmony between traditional design context already established in the city and contemporary ones to demonstrate high-tech city landmark.. The other theme is how to secure safety for the expected large number of visitors for this facilities and intensive systems had been firstly introduced in Taiwan such as seismic control structural system as well as special fire extinguishing system. Much efforts had also been made especially for circulation plannning for vaious and huge transportation volumes for both hotel & department store functions in terms of easy and smooth accessibility for which we believe it quite successful.
